When we join our resources together we can have the most advanced medical technologies right here in our community - close to home - in a familiar and healing environment with staff who are the most knowledgeable and the best able to perform the care we need.
Each year, more than 3,000 of our friends and neighbors share the gift of wellness by making contributions to Rice Hospital through the Foundation. Some choose to support an established program while other donors recognize and provide funding for a need that is not being met. Some donors choose to make unrestricted gifts that can be used for the most urgently needed equipment, programs and services.
Philanthropy plays a critical role in the advancement of healthcare in our community. The demand for dollars continues to grow each year as hospital programs and community non-profits strive to keep pace with changing health and wellness needs. Gifts to Rice Hospital have a direct impact on the communities we serve, improving the health and well-being of the thousands of patients and families we touch each year.

Tribute gifts are donations given in memory of a loved one or in honor of a special person or occasion.
How are gifts to the Foundation recognized?
It is very important to us to recognize your generosity. The "Tradition of Caring" Recognition Wall is located in the Garden Court and is one of the ways to publicly say thank you. In this display, there are opportunities for individuals and organizations to be honored in the following ways:
Tradition of Caring - gifts totaling $5,000 or more during a lifetime are honored here.
Making a Difference - annual gifts totaling $500 or more are honored here.
Members of the above Giving Clubs are invited to Rice Health Foundation's annual Donor Recognition Event, as well as other special events that may be offered.
Thoughtful Giving - this display lists the people who have been remembered with tribute gifts totaling $500 or more in the previous year.
